The Bandli is a metal plate carried by Indian women labourers and construction workers to mix concrete at construction sites. As part of the Bandli project, Bandli's were painted and sculpted by Indian and international artists, and auctioned together at the French Consulate, Bangalore; the auction profits were donated to the Sunshine for a School NGO in order to support the education of children and women in precarious situations in Bangalore.

 

 

 

Of recurrence and otherness, across time, body and space - in recovered objects, words, maps and memories collected across places, friends, homes and travels.
